Ingredients for blondies:
12 tbs unsalted butter, softened
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 egg + 1 egg yolk
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 + 1/2 cup flour
Ingredients for maple frosting:
7 tbs unsalted butter, softened
1 + 3/4 cup powdered sugar
1/3 cup big sis maple syrup of choice
maple pecan blondie
Directions:
preheat oven to 350° and line 8 x 8 baking tin with parchment paper. mix together butter. salt, brown sugar, granulated sugar, eggs and vanilla extract until uniformly combined. sift and fold in flour slowly. incorporate thoroughly. add to parchment-lined baking tin and bake for 20 mins. remove from oven and let cool fully.
combine soft unsalted butter and powdered sugar until smooth. in batches, add maple syrup until desired frosting consistency. spread over top of cooled blondies and cut into squares. top with pecan garnish!
